THE SOUNDTRACK:

Life after the Letters

This award-winning, interactive diversity program has students examining the role and influence of music in their lives. Hip Hop music and culture are the most commonly used tools in multimedia outlets. The Soundtrack will have your students singing, dancing, all while discovering the power of diversity. The Soundtrack emphasizes the use of critical thinking skills and engages students in a conversation that examines the cultural and social effects of multimedia on diversity. Through a Hip Hop lens, we cover things such as race, gender issues, relationships (both platonic and romantic) and leadership. Students will leave this experience understanding the power and beauty of diversity.

The Soundtrack helps students develop their own filter and is an experience that leaves students with the following learning outcomes:

  • How to identify and recognize the influence of media in the development of their social and cultural ideals.
  • How to interpret the socio-economic impact of stereotypes in race, sexuality, relationships, and leadership.
  • How to recognize and critique the images and messages they see in multimedia.
  • How to analyze their world view in an effort to move from tolerance to acceptance of both “visible” and “invisible” diversity factors.

Advisors of students that know “The Soundtrack” will see:

THE NEW NORMAL

Life after the Letters

The brotherhood, the sisterhood, the bond! Greek Letter Organizations (GLO’s) do an excellent job of teaching their history and traditions. Also, most of the brothers and sisters do a great job of representing the values and ideals of their fraternity or sorority. However, members still need to be better prepared for life after the letters, so they can effectively adjust to their new normal. Once students put those letters on their chest they are no longer a “normal” student. Their actions are in the spotlight now and it is critical that Greeks understand how to manage that additional attention. The New Normal gives Greeks all the tools they need to maximize their Greek life experience.

Redefine what it means to be Greek on you campus and learn how to:

  • Realize the influence & impact you have on your campus and your community
